How To Measure
Not sure what size they are? Follow the steps below to measure their feet at home.
We also have a handy Kids’ Sizing Tool that you can download here.
Step 1

Place an A4 piece of paper against a wall and have your child stand on top of it, wearing socks. Their heel should rest gently against the wall, as close to the edge of the paper as possible.
Step 2

Measure each foot separately by either drawing an outline around the whole foot or ensuring their heel is lined up to the edge of the paper and marking the spot where their longest toe rests.
Step 3

Using a ruler or tape measure, measure the longer foot from the heel to the longest toe and match with the CM range provided in the size chart.
“Our kids spend over 1500 hours running, jumping, playing and commuting in their school shoes. In these formative years, shoes have an essential role to play in a child’s physical and social development.”
Trent Salkavitch, Sports Padiatrist.

Frequently Asked Questions About Children’s Shoe Sizes
Should I size up in kids’ shoes to allow for growth?
This can depend on many factors. A good “rule of thumb” is to leave a thumb’s width of space between your child’s longest toe and the edge of the shoe. If their usual shoe size doesn’t have this space, it may be wise to choose the next size up.
If your child is between sizes, we typically recommend buying the larger size as they will usually grow to fit it. You should ensure that the shoe isn’t too loose however, as this can cause discomfort. If the shoes aren’t fitting correctly, you can take advantage of our free returns policy.
How do I measure kids shoe size at home?
You can follow our simple measurement guide above or download our handy Kids’ Sizing Tool here.
How do I convert my child’s shoe size from US to UK or EU sizes?
Our size guide chart allows you to convert between US, UK, EU and AU sizes. Simply match your child’s foot size (in CM) to the chart and find the corresponding sizing options.
How often should I check my child’s shoe size?
Kids grow quickly, and so do their feet. We recommend checking their shoe size every 3-6 months until they are three years old, then every 6-12 months from the age of three.
Should I use age or foot length to find the right size?
While age can give you a general guideline for shoe sizing, kids all grow on their own timeline, so it’s important to use their foot length as a guide, rather than their age.
What happens if I buy the wrong size for my child?
Kids grow so quickly and their shoe size is always changing – if you happen to purchase the wrong size shoes, returning them is easy! We have a free returns policy, which you can learn more about here.
